It features a 48-pin universal pin driver, and an expandable TTL pin driver system. If the USB interface is used then the Dataman UXP software, supplied, will need to be installed. Universal Pin drivers The Dataman-48 uses MOSFET logic to control switching of each of the 48 pins. This means that the Dataman-48 can supply any type of signal to any pin. Any of the 48 pins can be configured as VPP, VCC, GND, I/O or clock. This means that *the Dataman-48 can program ANY* DIL device up to 48 pins - without the need for costly adapters**. Many larger devices (such as 68 pin PLCC chips) can also be programmed using adapters. This universal pin driver technology also means the Dataman-48 is ready for tomorrow's devices.
